Genesis Mobile Wellness, our nonprofit 501(c)(3) division, reinvests resources directly into underserved communities.
Our mission is simple: to provide your organization with exceptional service and meaningful, results-driven partnerships.

Healthcare on Wheels: Serving the Underserved
DJK Group and Genesis Mobile Wellness offer a cutting-edge mobile medical vehicle program—designed to address over 30,000 Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and Medically Underserved Areas (MUAs) nationwide. This innovative solution integrates healthcare-approved systems, advanced technology, and educational services to deliver care where it's needed most.

Transforming Access: A Scalable Mobile Healthcare Pilot for Michigan
Michigan’s underserved urban and rural communities lack access to basic healthcare. DJK and Genesis propose a mobile medical unit program—staffed with medical professionals—to deliver essential services directly to these populations. By overcoming barriers such as limited transportation and ER overuse, this initiative redefines local healthcare delivery.
We recommend launching a 5–15 unit pilot, funded and directed by your organization, to demonstrate immediate benefits, reduced hospital readmissions, and ER visits. The pilot will use zip code data to assess cost-efficiency and effectiveness, laying the groundwork for statewide expansion and long-term impact.

Accessible, Reliable, Mobile: The Future of Community Care
Millions lack access to consistent healthcare due to distance, poverty, or underserved regions. Mobile medical units offer a reliable, scheduled solution—delivering essential services like exams, lab work, prenatal care, screenings, dental treatment, and more.
Whether in rural areas, inner cities, or small towns, these units remove barriers and bring healthcare directly to patients—eliminating travel, wait times, and red tape, while creating trust and improving health outcomes.

Proven Cost-Effectiveness of Mobile Medical Services
Mobile healthcare delivery offers a highly cost-effective alternative to traditional healthcare infrastructure. Avoiding the high costs of constructing permanent facilities and staffing them full-time, mobile units provide essential medical services at a fraction of the expense.
Research-backed ROI metrics show substantial economic and health benefits. For every $1 invested in a mobile medical program, an estimated $36 is returned through reduced emergency department costs and extended life years. In one sample, an investment of $565,700 avoided over $3.1 million in ER costs and saved $17.7 million in potential life years—yielding a total ROI of $20.3 million with a 36:1 return ratio.
These findings align with national studies, reinforcing that even minimal investments in preventive mobile care can lead to billions in annual healthcare savings.

Versatility and Convenience of Mobile Medical Units
Mobile medical units offer unmatched versatility, providing critical healthcare services wherever and whenever needed. They are essential for disaster response, national emergencies like vaccination campaigns, and as backup during fixed-site disruptions. Mobile clinics also address excess patient loads and offer flexible scheduling, such as evening programs for working individuals.
Their convenience extends to workplace health services, allowing employees to receive care onsite without losing work time. This efficiency can lead to cost savings, as demonstrated by a large industrial company whose mobile unit paid for itself within a year.

Provide an Alternative Channel for Donations
Mobile health projects offer governments, non-profits, industry groups, and foundations a direct way to donate funds that improve the health of targeted populations. Such donations not only deliver essential health services but also demonstrate care and support to communities. Programs like mobile mammography, dental care, sports medicine, cardiac testing, and blood pressure monitoring have all benefited from external funding.

Enable Health Care Providers to “Test the Water"
Investing in fixed medical equipment and facilities can be costly and uncertain. Many healthcare providers use mobile health services to assess factors like usage, cost, and staffing before committing to large expenditures. In several cases, these evaluations have shown that mobile services are the most effective and economical option.

Increase Patient Care Capacity Permanently
Many customers who initially use mobile health vehicles as temporary solutions find them so cost-effective and efficient that they decide to keep the units permanently. This trend is especially common with diagnostic services.
